There are so many good reasons to shop locally!  We use less resources.  We get to know our community richly.  We become resilient and self-sufficient and less likely to sway in the winds of turbulent global markets.  We invest in our community!

This spreasheet is an on-going, work-in-progress, labour of love.  It seeks to answer our neighbourhood's questions about where to find such things as a handyman or woman, a dog walker, a babysitter, a doughnut, a nurse's aid, a daycare, or a piano teacher.  Etc, etc!  It is not just concerned with brick and mortar establishments (although, those too, of course!), but also with the more hidden home-based businesses in our midst.
